Administrative Coaching
Continuous site administrator coaching keeps the school focused on the linguistic and academic needs of English learners. This service promotes strategic collaboration regarding the development and consistent focus of site initiatives that align to the district goals around EL achievement. These sessions include coaching conversations, classroom observations, and reflections through the lens of an instructional leader.
Instructional Coaching
Job-embedded coaching that provides support for teachers of English learners. This support may include any of the following:
Modeling or co-teaching instructional practices that support linguistic and academic teaching for English learners.
Instructional observation, teacher feedback, and reflective conversations regarding effective practices for English learners.
A process of pre-conferencing, observing, and post-conferencing to encourage teacher reflection on their own instructional improvement.
Planning and pacing instructional materials to maximize instructional impact.
Professional Learning
Individually tailored sessions designed to encourage research-based instruction that improves linguistic and academic achievement for English Learners. These sessions can be for a small group at a school site, an entire school staff, a group of school sites, or an entire district. Administrative leaders are strongly encouraged to attend and participate in these sessions.
Systems Coaching
This service focuses on the district plans, financial resources, and district compliance requirements related to English learners. Within this type of support, we share our decades of knowledge and experience in supporting English learners. Alignment and consistency with district plans and the work of school sites is critical for a consistent and effective English Learner Program.
